Struga, 13 April 2022 The Council for development of the southwest planning region held its third regular session at which the possibilities for organizing a study visit to some European countries were discussed in order to exchange experiences in domains that are of priority interest to the municipalities of the Region, in order to encourage regional development by creating partnerships with similar regions from other countries.
At the beginning, the representatives of the project “Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development”, Jovan Manasijevski, Aleksandar Karaev, as well as the engaged expert d-r Boris Cizelj from Slovenia, who talked about the possibilities for organizing a study visit, and through the discussion, emphasis was placed on the thematic areas that are important for the Southwest planning region.
After visiting all regions in the country and summarizing the interest shown by the mayors, the engaged expert d-r Boris Cizelj, together with the team from “Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development”, will make an appropriate program, and visit countries interested in exchanging experiences and creating partnerships through the development of regional projects. The study visits will be organized for the eight development councils from the regions in the country, in four rounds for two regions during may, june and september this year.
