Project goals
The main goal of the project is to organize and register the dairy products from the Debar micro-region by promoting the cheese that is produced in a traditional way. The project is working on registering the collective trademark of Debar cheese. This will be an incentive for all producers from the Debar area and Centar Zupa to apply the same recipe for cheese production and sale as a collective brand, which is a step towards creating a brand of this cheese. Five workshops were conducted with dairy producers from Debar and Centar Zupa in order to achieve the following goals:
– Consensus reached between the two municipalities for branding of Debar cheese;
– Prepared analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the regional brand;
– Selected and promoted logo and slogan;
– Draft Rulebook on the use of the collective mark in the Debar region;
– Mobilization of local and regional resources in the realization of a common idea that will ultimately lead to more intensive regional development, and
– Improving marketing and promotion and their products.
Results
– Five organized workshops with about 80 dairy producers;
– Chosen name for the Collective trademark (Debar cheese);
– Made designs graphic solution with logo for the product;
– Application submitted to the State office of industrial property for registration mark.
