These days, the construction activities for arranging an accessible pedestrian path in the old part of the city – Municipality of Ohrid, leading from the Clock Tower to Gorna Porta, have been completed. The length of the trail is 275 meters, with a leg of 114 meters.
The arrangement of this path contributes to the increase of the attractive places in the Southwest planning region, the visitors can make a route along which from the central part of the two hills they will go out on the east side, which will increase the visibility of the lower part of the old town and the suburbs Ohrid. The path is built of natural materials, and 24 authentic candelabras are placed along it.
Such paths are being built in the Municipality of Struga and the Municipality of Debrca.
The financial means are provided through the project “Arrangement of attractive zones and paths in the Southwest planning region”, within the project “Sustainable inclusive balanced regional development”, by the Swiss Agency for development, the Ministry of Local Self-Government, the Municipality of Ohrid and the Municipality of Struga.
