Project goals
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the economic development of the region by developing alternative forms of tourism and enriching the tourist offer throughout the year, taking as a basis for its preparation the previously prepared Study for pedestrian and bicycle paths in SWPR.
As a result of the project activities, the following were prepared: Infrastructure and Basic project (with revision) for construction of combined pedestrian and bicycle paths, Elaborate for protection of the environment and recording of the traffic signals. The project defines and covers six sections: Ohrid-Struga, HC Spilje-Debar, Debar-Banjishte, Centar Zupa-Debarski Ostrov. Debar-Dolno Kosovrasti and Centar Zupa-Melnicki Most. The total length of the designed – combined – paths is 31 km, and the construction of which are necessary 1.7 million euros.
Project results
– Prepared technical documentation (Infrastructure Basic project – with revision – for construction of combined pedestrian and bicycle paths, Elaborations for environmental protection and recording of traffic signals) for 6 sections with a total length of 31 km;
– Organized three working meetings in Struga, Ohrid and Debar with representatives of the Economic operator, the Center for development and the municipalities of Struga, Ohrid, Debar and Centar Zupa;
– Organized promotional event to present the project results.
