Project Objectives
Overall Objective
The main objective (project intention) of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of existing public municipal buildings of regional importance and reduce the annual costs for heating, cooling and air purification, by undertaking energy efficient measures.
Specific Objectives
Higher strategic objectives that are achieved with the implementation of this regional project are the following interrelated objectives:
- Reduction of emissions of pollutants (particles, CO2, SO2, NOx) as CO2 equivalent from the combustion of fossil fuels (EL Heating Oil and Firewood) through measures to improve the energy efficiency of 5 public buildings.
- Improved quality of life of the local community
- Financial savings for municipalities and public enterprises and institutions
