Signing the financing agreement

On 31.07.2019, in the hall of the Council of the Municipality of Struga, was held the eighth session of the Council for development of the Southwest planning region, at which the Financing Agreement of the Centre for development of the SWPR for the current 2019 was signed. The Minister of Local Self-Government, Mr. Goran Milevski, also attended the session. Based on the Law on Balanced Regional Development, the Ministry of Local Self-Government annually co-finances the operation of all eight Centers for Development of Planning Regions in the amount of 1,2 million denars for activities and the same amount for the implementation of regional development projects. The Minister of Local Self-Government Mr. Goran Milevski emphasized that the agreement determines the activities that the Center for development will implement this year, which arise from the Development Program of the Southwest planning region. Milevski informed the mayors that last week the Ministry of Local Self-Government started the activities at the expert level for the preparation of the amendments to the Law on Balanced Regional Development. Representatives of the Centers for Development and ZELS are also involved in the process of analyzing the situation, and the local authorities are expected to share their experience at these meetings. In the coming days, financing agreements will be signed with all Centers for Development of Planning Regions so as not to jeopardize their ongoing operation
