Cooperation with Swiss agency for development and cooperation continues

Struga, 08.02.2022 The employees of the Center for Development of the Southwest Planning Region, in the Drim Hotel in Struga, held a working meeting with the team from the project “Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development”, where information was exchanged on the continuation of this project in the next period, ie until 2025. Namely, the Governments of RNM and the Swiss Confederation signed an agreement worth 6 million Swiss francs in order to continue the activities in the eight planning regions, mainly through support in the implementation of major infrastructure projects important to the community. In that regard, the management team of the project informed that the Center for development of the Southwest planning region, in the following period, will have available about 500 thousand euros, intended for projects in the field of infrastructure, environmental protection, social inclusion, smart specialization, as well as activities to support the business sector. The project ideas and projects that will be prepared will arise through holding forum sessions with participatory participation of important parties in the region, and will be implemented in the next three years.
