Struga, 07 March 2022 On the eve of the new tourist season, the members of the National union of people with physical disabilities from MOBILNOST will receive ten reconstructed apartments, located in the complex “Ohridati” in Ohrid. The reconstruction, which includes several components, will raise the level of energy efficiency of the buildings by changing the exterior and interior carpentry, increased insulation, and will be carried out for interior remodeling and modernization of buildings. The activities take place within the project “Raising the energy efficiency of public buildings”, implemented by the Center for development of the Southwest planning region, approved by the Ministry of local self-government, ie the Bureau for regional development.
– The Center for development of the Southwest planning region, during this year, implements two major projects – one in order to increase the energy efficiency in four public buildings in the municipalities of Ohrid, Debarca, Kichevo and Debar, while in Plasnica and Makedonski Brod are being implemented activities for raising the quality of the environment by providing containers for waste selection, ie regulation of the canal network. For this purpose, 20 million denars have been provided, through the Program for regional development of the Bureau for regional development from the central budget. MOBILNOST was established in 1986 and as a national disability organization has the task to represent people with physical disabilities and their interests. The organization, among other things, takes care of and provides recreational activities to its members. During several months in Ohrid, in the reconstructed apartments, about 700 members of Mobilnost will be accommodated.
