Objectives
The register of potentials for development of rural tourism in the Southwest planning region contains two basic categories of data: Existing statistical database related to the tourism profile of rural municipalities and rural areas of urban municipalities (population, facilities and sites for tourism and recreation, human resources engaged in the sector of tourism, transport, turnover in tourism, added value and jobs) and Touristic attractions (sites with natural values, protected areas, attractive cultural heritage, festivals and events, recreational sites, information on local tradition, existing touristic tours).
The register was created in accordance with the FAS methodology of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), which involves the analysis of the destination through a joint evaluation of all subsystems and key elements of the destination. Was prepared an Action plan for a period of three years, and it has moved 66 prioritized localities by municipalities for which activities have been designed that should be undertaken by the LSGU in the next period. The register is part of the project “Innovative solutions for better access to services at the local level”, funded by MLSG and UNDP.

-Developed Register of potentials for development of rural tourism in SWPR in three language versions (Macedonian, Albanian, English)
-Action plan for three years
– Prioritized 66 tourist sites in all municipalities
– Presentation of the register to the stakeholders
