Eighth Session of the Development Council

On 31.07.2019, in the hall of the Council of the Municipality of Struga, was held the eighth session of the Council for development of the Southwest planning region, in which was signed the Financing Agreement of the Center for development of SWPR for the current 2019 year. The Minister of Local Self-Government, Mr. Goran Milevski, also attended the session. According to the Law on Balanced regional development, the Ministry of Local Self-Government annually co-finances the operation of all eight Centers for development of planning regions in the amount of 1.2 million denars for activities and the same amount for the implementation of regional development projects. The Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski emphasized that the agreement determines the activities that the Center for development will implement this year, which arise from the Programme for development of the Southwest planning region. Milevski informed the mayors that last week the Ministry of Local Self-Government started the activities at the expert level for the preparation of the amendments to the Law on balanced regional development. Representatives of the Centers for development and ZELS are also involved in the process of analyzing the situation, and the local authorities are expected to share their experience at these meetings. Also, within the Session of the Council for development, was presented the Feasibility study for solving the problem with stray dogs in the Southwest planning region.
