RECONSTRUCTED POOL FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY IN ST.ERAZMO HOSPITAL
Struga, June 16, 2021 The Center for Development of the SOUTHWEST planning region has successfully completed the reconstruction of the physical therapy pool in the special hospital St. Erazmo, which created conditions for patients from the institution and the wider region to use the specialist services of local specialists for the treatment of diseases related to impaired motor functions in the human body.
– With the project, whose total value is eight million denars, the machine and pool part of the equipment was modernized, new solar collectors were installed, and interventions were made in the electrical installations and on the building in order to increase its energy efficiency. With the performed interventions, as pointed out by the Center for Development of the SOUTHWEST planning region, the operation of the physical therapy pool has been completely modernized, and the costs for its functioning will be insignificant for the special hospital St.Erazmo. Funding for this project is provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Ministry of Local Self-Government, and it is selected through regional community forums, which is specific to the work of Swiss donors.
– From St. Erazmo hospital, which marks 71 years since its establishment, do not hide the satisfaction that the physical therapy pool is completed, and soon plan to put it into operation for the needs of their patients. For over ten years, such services were not provided due to the high costs of the institution, but now the situation has changed, so there are no obstacles for the service to be available to other users from the wider community. At the same time, here, in the first place, are the youngest who are more and more often faced with different types of deformities. According to the information, the donors from Switzerland, will continue the cooperation with the Macedonian side, so that in the next three years, support is announced for new investment projects in the eight regions in the country
