The Director of the Center for development of the Southwest planning region, Mirjana Lozanoska, MSc, today in Skopje, signed three agreements for the implementation of regional projects that will solve the energy and infrastructure needs of the municipalities, and will also procure equipment for utility companies with in order to improve the level of efficiency in the execution of services for citizens.
The total value of the three contracts is 54 million denars and they are provided from the national budget through the Program for Regional Development of the Ministry of local self-government and the Bureau for regional development for this and next year. Within the project for energy efficiency, with 35 million denars, the needs of school facilities, kindergartens and other public facilities in Struga, Debrca, Vevchani, Makedonski Brod, Kichevo, Plasnica and Debar will be solved.
With 12 million denars, the need to improve the road infrastructure of Vevchani and Centar Zhupa will be solved. For the purchase of equipment for the public enterprises Vodovod, Niskograda and Debrca will be allocated 8 million denars.
At today’s signing of the agreements with all the centers of the planning regions, the Deputy in the Government in charge of economic affairs, Fatmir Bitici, the Minister of Local self-government, Risto Penov, and the Director of the Bureau for regional development, Ramiz Redzepi, were also present, who emphasized the commitment to increase the funds for the regions, greater investments in the interior of the state, but they also asked to see the success of the realized projects.
