Within the framework of the project “Strengthening the capacities of the PMU through the procurement of equipment”, in front of the media and employees of the public enterprise “Vodovod” in Ohrid, the Mayor of Municipality of Ohrid, Kiril Pecakov and the Director of the Center for development of the Southwest planning region, Mirjana Lozanoska symbolically handed over to use the vehicle – ISUZU brand – dump truck purchased for the needs of the enterprise.
On this occasion, Mayor Pecakov emphasized that the Municipality of Ohrid is dedicated to increasing the capacities of the PMU, and in that sense this year it has invested significant funds in the procurement of equipment in order to achieve greater efficiency in providing and performing services to all citizens.
Through the project of the Center for development, 7.5 million denars have been invested in the three utility companies – Vodovod, Ohridski Komunalec and Niskogradba, of which 6.1 million are funds from the central budget, and the rest are funds from the Municipality of Ohrid.
The Director of the Center for development Lozanoska mentioned that the project is worth 8.1 million denars and that the partners are the Municipality of Ohrid and the Municipality of Debrca. In addition, 4.3 million denars have been invested in the Ohrid public enterprises for the freight vehicle for Vodovod, previously 3.2 million denars for the two tractors with connected mechanization for Ohridski Komunalec and Niskogradba, and 670,000 denars for the purchase of waste bins for the Municipality of Debrca.
Thanking for the donation, the director of the PMU “Vodovod” Ohrid, Marjan Risteski, emphasized that with the purchased truck – dumper in the Sector for Water supply facilities, production and treatment of drinking water, more efficient and economical performance of work duties is expected, especially in the area of removal of defects in the water supply network.
The project “Strengthening the capacities of PMUs through the procurement of equipment” of the Center for development of the Southwest planning region has been approved by the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Bureau for Regional Development, and the funds are provided by the central budget of the state, with the partner municipalities also participating with their own funds in the project.
