Zarko Risteski, new president of the Council for development

The Council for development of the Southwest planning region, at its 12th session, unanimously elected the Mayor of the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, Mr. Zarko Risteski, as its president for a one-year term. Expressing gratitude for the election, Mr. Risteski emphasized that as a Council, it is necessary to mobilize all entities in order to overcome the problems in the functioning of municipalities and public utility companies, as well as in improving the quality of services to citizens. In this sense, the new president, Mr. Zarko Risteski, assessed the role of the Council and the Center for development of the Region as positive, through which significant regional projects are being implemented that improve the conditions of the population.

At today’s regular session of the Council for development, the items for approval of the Communication strategy for the period 2024-2026 of Center for development of the SWPR, the amended Financial Plan of the Center for 2024, and a Decision for the publication of an Announcement for the selection of the Director of the Center for development were also reviewed and adopted.
