The main goal of the project is to increase domestic and foreign investments in the Southwest planning region by creating databases for potential locations-plots of construction land, through GIS systems. This project provides a complete overview of available resources for investment in all municipalities in the region, with clearly defined parameters that are made available to potential investors.
In order to achieve the goal, several project activities have been implemented: Procurement of hardware equipment – regional server and work unit; Purchasing and installing GIS server software and desktop; Conducting training on the use of software applications for procured Geographic Information System ESRI products – ArcGIS for Server Workgroup Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Standard; Development of a software application with databases for construction plots in the nine municipalities in the region and their relocation of appropriate hardware (client + server) equipment.
-Installed hardware – regional server and work unit in the premises of CRPD;
– Installed licensed GIS software – ArcGIS;
– Conducted training for 18 representatives from the municipalities to use the licensed software;
– Developed installed application with databases;
– Created database with attribute values for 100 locations for investment in the 9 municipalities.
